Lyricate is designed to be privacy-friendly. We do not require user accounts and collect minimal data:

  • Anonymous usage analytics: We log anonymized access data including a one-way hash of your IP address, pages visited, and request timestamps. This data is used solely for understanding aggregate usage patterns and is automatically deleted after 90 days.
  • No personal identifiers: We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information through normal use of the Service.

2. Payment Information

If and when the Service offers paid features, payment processing is handled entirely by a third-party payment processor. Lyricate does not store, process, or have access to your credit card numbers or bank account details. Please review the payment processor's privacy policy for details on how your payment information is handled.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

Lyricate does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics). We use browser localStorage to save your preferences (theme, language, font size, etc.) so they persist between visits. This data never leaves your browser.

4. Third-Party Services

When you use certain features, your input text may be sent to third-party APIs for processing:

  • Translation: DeepL, Google Translate, or NetEase Cloud Music (for official translations)
  • AI Annotation: Google Gemini API
  • Text-to-Speech: Google Cloud TTS

These services have their own privacy policies. The text you submit for translation or annotation is transmitted to them for processing and is subject to their data handling practices.

5. Data Retention

  • Analytics data: 90 days, then automatically deleted
  • Search and lyrics cache: Up to 7 days for performance
  • Generated PDFs: Temporarily cached on the server, not stored permanently

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information or require accounts, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete. Your browser preferences stored in localStorage can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
